We take your privacy seriously and process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679) and Slovenian data-protection law. We are a small family farm, not an online business — almost nothing about you is collected through this website itself.
1.Who we are

2.What we collect
- Email correspondence — when you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, email address, the dates and accommodation you are asking about, and any details you include in your message.
- Guest-registration data — at check-in on the farm, Slovenian law (Zakon o prijavi prebivališča) requires us to record your full name, date of birth, address, nationality and identity-document number.
- Payment — we are cash-only and settle on-site at the end of your stay.
- Website analytics and advertising — if you accept our cookie banner, we use third-party analytics and advertising services to understand how visitors find and use the site (pages viewed, language, country, whether you opened a gallery or clicked a phone or email link) and to measure the effectiveness of our promotional efforts. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are stored on your device. Our hosting provider may also keep short-lived server logs for security purposes.
3.Why we collect it
- To reply to your inquiry and to organise your stay (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract).
- To meet our statutory obligations as a registered accommodation provider — guest registration with the police, tourist-tax reporting to the municipality, accounting and tax records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To send you a short follow-up after your stay, only if you have asked us to (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
4.How long we keep it
Inquiry emails are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Guest-registration records are kept for the period required by law. Accounting records are kept for ten years as required by the Slovenian tax authority. Once these periods expire, the data is deleted.
5.Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We share the minimum necessary with:
- The Slovenian Police, via the eTurizem reporting system, for the legally required guest register.
- The municipality of Radovljica, for tourist-tax reporting.
- Our accountant, our bank, and the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (FURS), for legally required accounting and tax reporting.
- If you have accepted our cookie banner, our analytics and advertising providers process your visit data on our behalf as data processors. Where these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, we rely only on providers covered by recognised adequacy frameworks (such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Aside from this scoped processing, your data does not leave the European Economic Area.
6.Cookies
The only cookies this website may store on your device are:
- Strictly necessary technical cookies — used to remember your language preference and your choice on the cookie banner itself. These are always set and do not require consent.
- Analytics and advertising cookies — only set after you click Accept on the banner. If you decline, these cookies are not stored and our providers receive only anonymous, cookieless signals.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing cookies for this site in your browser — the banner will then appear again on your next visit.
7.Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to breda.policar@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days.
If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec, www.ip-rs.si).
8.Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify guests with an active booking by email.
